The Bloody Beetroots World Exclusive DJ Set

Notorious for media dodging, The Bloody Beetroots’ Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo generously granted Teknoscape an interview to chat all things Stereosonic. After headlining Creamfields Australia last year with the Death Crew 77, Cornelius plans for his set at Stereosonic acknowledging the dynamic and changed landscape of electronic music since then in mind. “I’m working on changes, the new Bloody Beetroots isn’t all going to be about music, it’s going to be about a social cultural movement through the church of noise. It’s going to be all about music, art, video and comic so my way of communication is going to be different.”

The Bloody Beetroots return to Australia by popular demand. Their set at Stereosonic is unique – a world exclusive DJ set composed for the Australian shows since Stereosonic is not on his regular touring schedule. The Bloody Beetroots’ following down here is so strong it almost border cult-like, Rifo believes this is due to Australians passionate nature and yearn to absorb new things, “I don’t know but it seems that Australia has that kind of vibe to absorb new things and it’s a great place with such special people who really love music and love dancing music. It’s a passionate country Australia and that’s maybe the reason why you guys are so great with the Bloody Beetroots sound, but not only the Bloody Beetroots  but also the fresh stuff from Europe and America goes down really well in Australia too.”
