More Awards For Afrojack
And yet another award for Afrojack. The Dutch DJ has got to buy a new trophy case as the European Commission announced he won the European Border Breakers Award 2012.
It is the fifth prestigious award Afrojack claims in less than a year. After a Grammy, two IDMA’s and an Ibiza DJ Award he now lays his hands on an EBBA. The award is given to Europeans who achieve success in Europe, outside the borders of their own country. To be eligible for the awards, the artists must have enjoyed border-breaking success with their first international release in Europe between 1 August 2010 and 31 July 2011. The winners are selected by music market analyst Nielsen Music on the basis of record sales and broadcast frequency and according to votes by European Broadcasting Union (EBU) radio stations and festivals participating in the European Talent Exchange Program (ETEP).
