Ferry Corsten’s Plans For His Stereo Set

With a back catalogue of over 300 tracks Ferry has introduced us to an eclectic fusion of house, trance and electro since first entering the scene in the 90′s. However his recent release Check It Out was met with heavy backlash in the wild west of Youtube comments as it “just wasn’t trance” still awesome… But not trance. When asked of his critique Ferry very sophisticatedly asserted that “people wish I made the same trance that I made in 1999 and I’m like well it’s not 1999 anymore and it’s something a lot more artists should think about, not to be told by the fans what to produce, it should be the other way around.” Great point.

So with what seems as a change of direction in the eve of a new album release what can you expect from a Ferry Corsten set in 2011 at Stereosonic? “Its gonna be a big festival so that means a big festival set, full of energy, I’ll definitely play a lot of the tracks on the album cause it’s going to be a bit of a preview tour for me as well, obviously some of the big Corsten classics and lots of fun!”

Here at Totem Onelove HQ we have been slammed with demands for a back-to-back Ferry/Armin set. When asked of such a possibility Ferry responds “nothing has been planned but you never know cause on tour a lot of strange things happen so for all we know we’ll just go all out and go crazy ha ha ha.”
