Companion cards will be accepted for entry to Stereosonic (maximum 1 carer per paid ticket holder).

Tickets will not be issued for the companion prior to the event and the companion MUST arrive at the event along with the paid ticket holder. The companion must have a valid Companion Card on them along with valid ID to gain entry to the event.

Massive crowds are expected in Sydney Olympic Park on event day with multiple event occurring in the precinct on the same day.

Over 150,000 people are expected to be attending events in the precinct, so it’s essential to plan your trip in advance and work out how you are going to get to and from the festival.

Driving is discouraged, but If you need to drive it’s essential to pre-book your parking, as all spaces will fill in advance .

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Public transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to and from the the venue , with hundreds of extra train services running.

TRAINS: GETTING THERE

  • From Central: Trains will run to Olympic Park every 7-8 minutes from 14:00 to 16:00 then every 5 minutes until 22:00, stopping at Redfern and Strathfield.
  • From Blacktown /Penrith / Schofields : Trains will run to Olympic Park every 10 minutes from 14:00 to 22:00, stopping all stations to Blacktown, Seven Hills, Westmead, Parramatta, Granville and Lidcombe.

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Extra trains will run to Olympic Park from Hamilton at 10:55, 11:55, 12:55 and 13:55

    Services will stop at Broadmeadow, Cardiff, Fassifern, Morisset, Wyee, Wyong, Tuggerah, Gosford, Woy Woy, Hornsby, Eastwood then Olympic Park.

    TRAINS: GETTING HOME

    To Central: Trains will run from Olympic park every 4 minutes until 01:45.

    To Blacktown / Penrith / Schofields: Trains will run from Olympic Park every 7-8 minutes until 01:45, stopping Lidcombe, Granville, Parramatta, Westmead, Seven Hills, Blacktown then all stations

    Extra trains will also be running to Richmond, Hornsby, Campbelltown, Macarthur, Cronulla and Carlingford after the festival.

    NSW TRAINLINK

    Central Coast & Newcastle Line: Extra trains to Hamilton will run from Central at 23:15, 00:15 and 01:15. The 00:45 Wyong train from Central will also be extended to Hamilton.

    South Coast Line: Extra trains to Kiama will run from central at 23:43 and 01:20.

    Blue Mountains Line: Extra trains to Lithgow will run from Central at 23:48 and 00:48.

    Southern Highlands Line: Extra trains will run from Campbelltown at 23:40 and 01:30, stopping all stations.

    BUS

    Sydney Bus services will run to a regular Saturday timetable.

    Route 525 runs between Parramatta and Burwood via Sydney Olympic Park.

    Route 526 runs from Sydney Olympic Park Ferry Wharf Olympic Park.

    FERRY

    Sydney Ferry services may prove popular and services may reach capacity on event day being a Saturday.

    Keep this in mind, if you’re planning on catching an F3 Parramatta River service.

    Plan you trip ahead and allow plenty extra travel time or consider the alternate public transport options available.

    It is approximately 40 minutes walk (3.6km) from Sydney Olympic Park Wharf to the Olympic Park precinct, there is a connecting 526 bus to get you there.

    Sydney Ferry services will run to a regular Saturday timetable.

  • Public transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to and from the Claremont Showgrounds.
    Your ticket to the festival includes travel on all Transperth services for three hours before, during and for three hours after the event, or until end of service.

    Simply show your ticket to the driver or inspector.

    Keep in mind you must have your event ticket on you to travel for no extra cost.

    If you're planning on collecting your ticket at the venue, you will need to pay a normal fare to get there.

    The following Transperth services will operate:

    TRAINS
    A Sunday timetable will be operating with additional trains on all lines.

    Going to the festival, there will be extra trains on the Fremantle Line and they will stop at Showgrounds Station all day from first service.

    After the event, plenty of special event trains will run from Showgrounds Station, to Perth and Fremantle.

    Be aware that due to other events taking place on the Fremantle Line, trains might be extra busy, so we ask everyone to be patient.

    Note that special event trains will not stop at Subiaco Station.

    The last trains from Showgrounds Station will be:

    · To Perth: Departing at 12.45am
    · To Fremantle: Departing at 12.13am.

    The last connecting trains will depart Perth/Perth Underground at the following times

    · Armadale Line: Departing Perth Station, Platform 5 at 12.45am
    · Thornlie Line: Departing Perth Station, Platform 4 at 11.47pm
    · Midland Line: Departing Perth Station, Platform 9 at 12.43am
    · Joondalup Line: Departing Perth Underground at 1.00am
    · Mandurah Line: Departing Perth Underground at 1.00am.

    BUSES
    Timetabled buses will operate across the network on a Sunday timetable. There will be no additional bus services at suburban stations for connections with the extra train services being provided.

    TRAMS
    Trams for Stereosonic will run free of charge from the City to the Adelaide Entertainment Centre every 10 minutes for the duration of the event.

    BUSES
    Buses which travel past Bonython Park along Port Rd include 115-118, 150-157 and 287-288.
    There are also buses which travel along Port Rd / George St and these are the B10-B12.

    Public transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to and from the venue ,

    TRAINS
    Getting there

    Metro Trains will provide a 10 minute service from Flinders St (platforms 8 & 9) to Showgrounds stopping only at Southern Cross (platform 14) and North Melbourne (platform 6)

    The first train is to depart Flinders Street at approximately 11:10 and the last service is to depart Flinders Street at approximately 16:30.

    Any passengers wishing to travel to the Showgrounds after the last service are to be directed to catch tram 57 from Elizabeth St or alternatively from Newmarket railway station

    During the above period, service will run back to Flinders Street Express with passengers

    Getting home

    Metro Trains will provide a 10 minute service from Showgrounds and stopping only at North Melbourne, Southern Cross and Flinders Street.

    First service to depart Showgrounds at 20:00 until 22:00

    Metro Trains will provide a 5 minute service from Showgrounds and stopping only at North Melbourne, Southern Cross and Flinders Street.

    From 22:00 – 23:00

    and the last service is to depart Showgrounds at approximately 23:00

    Any passengers wishing to travel to the City before the first return service are to be directed to catch tram 57 from Epson Road

    TRAMS
    Getting there and home

    Yarra Trams will be running 9 additional Trams running from Elizabeth / Flinders Street to Epsom Road from 11am to 11:30pm.

    PUBLIC TRANSPORT
    Public transport is the quickest and easiest way to get to and from the Brisbane Showgrounds.
    Patrons departing the event can take advantage of free train travel home.
    Patrons are required present their event wristbands on their way home to enable free travel on the Queensland Rail City Network.

    TRAINS: INGRESS
    Bowen Hills and Fortitude Valley railway stations are less than a ten minute walk from the RNA Showgrounds.
    Trains will run on normal Sunday timetables for access to the event.

    Platform 2 on the internal Showground Station will be operating on egress only. Adiitional services running every 15mintes have been added to existing schedule.

    YES, there will ATM machines within the event site that will be accessible to all patrons.

    Please bring ample cash with you as we also tend to run out of cash at these events so please be prepared and don’t rely on cash access or availability all day.

    A limited amount of seating will be available around the event site, however you will be able to sit on the tiered levels around the main arena. Patrons are not permitted to bring their own seating, including low chairs and/or milk crates into the festival.

    An ample amount of toilets will be available at the event for patron use. There will also be dedicated mobility -impaired toilets around the site so they can be accessed easily.

    Please look for signage or ask for assistance from security or event staff if you cannot locate these facilities. When at an event please plan your toilet trips as there may be queues. Public urination and improper conduct will result in ejection from the event without refund and police fines.

    A dedicated cloakroom staff member will be deployed there from 1200-1700hrs. At 1700 all items will be transported to the Lockers, and cloaked contraband items will be granted collection from 9pm onwards. This process will be communicated to patrons at the time of contraband cloaking.

    Any contraband items cloaked after 1700 will be done so by the Gates Manager and items transferred to the public cloakroom at their discretion.

    There is Cloakroom available within the event, please refer to patron map for exact location which can be accessed here.

    There is a $5.00 charge per cloaked item, with a $5.00 revisit fee each time an item is accessed throughout the day.

    Please be aware of the new NSW smoking laws governing where you can and cannot smoke in and around licensed venues.
    This affects the festival in the following ways
    No smoking within 4m of any entrance to a building
    No smoking inside any structure
    No smoking within 15m of any catering outlet and No smoking in areas designated smoke free

    Failure to follow these new laws may result in fines from the NSW Justice Department.

    - Have been banned from events before, imposed by either TOG or the administrative, legal or police governing bodies.

    - Intentionally attempt to conceal prohibited items with the intent to bypass security screening.

    Companion cards will be accepted for entry to Stereosonic (maximum 1 carer per paid ticket holder).

    Tickets will not be issued for the companion prior to the event and the companion MUST arrive at the event along with the paid ticket holder. The companion must have a valid Companion Card on them along with valid ID to gain entry to the event.

    Yes, please note

    Companion cards will be accepted for entry to Stereosonic (maximum 1 carer per paid ticket holder).

    Tickets will not be issued for the companion prior to the event and the companion MUST arrive at the event along with the paid ticket holder. The companion must have a valid Companion Card on them along with valid ID to gain entry to the event.

    An ample amount of toilets will be available at the event for patron use. There will also be dedicated mobility -impaired toilets around the site so they can be accessed easily.

    For more information regarding locations for these facilities. Please refer to the Stereosonic map for exact locations which can be accessed here.

    Please look for signage or ask for assistance from security or event staff if you cannot locate these facilities. When at an event please plan your toilet trips as there may be queues. Public urination and improper conduct will result in ejection from the event without refund and police fines.
